Broc is the Irish word for badger, one of Ireland's most distinctive native mammals.

This original hand-drawn Bog Art illustration captures the badger in a curious, watchful pose, its head turned back over its shoulder. With deliberately elongated proportions, irregular outlines and an ancient spiral motif, the design draws inspiration from Ireland's early art and enduring connection with the natural world.

Part of our Wildlife Collection, celebrating Ireland's native animals through bold, primitive and minimalist artwork.

Broc is the Irish word for badger, one of Ireland's most distinctive native mammals.
