A hand-drawn abstract symbol inspired by the ancient stone carvings of Ireland's Neolithic passage tomb builders. Bold, simple and timeless.

Dúchas is an Irish word often associated with heritage, belonging, roots and the deep connections that tie people to place.

This design takes inspiration from the abstract carved stones of Ireland's ancient passage tombs, where spirals, circles and symbolic forms were etched into stone over five thousand years ago. Rather than reproducing a specific carving, the artwork reimagines that visual language as a modern hand-drawn symbol.

The bold black lines retain the irregular character of hand-carved marks. The design is intentionally simple, allowing the symbol to speak for itself without words. Depending on the viewer, it may suggest a stone carving, a solar symbol, a family emblem, a landscape marker or something entirely personal.

Printed large on the chest, the artwork is designed to feel timeless rather than fashionable. It connects ancient Irish visual traditions with contemporary minimalist design.

Perfect for those interested in Irish heritage, archaeology, ancient symbols, Irish language and modern Celtic-inspired art.
